Sprinkler zone not turning on?

1. Check the timer display

Note the zone number, any message, and whether a rain delay or disabled program is shown. Take a photo; do not open electrical compartments.

2. Compare with another zone

If there is no leak or other hazard, use the normal timer controls to briefly run a different zone. Record whether the problem affects one zone or the whole system.

3. Describe what you see

Does water appear anywhere? Are all heads off or only some? These observations help narrow the next checks; they do not prove a valve or wire has failed.
